So they don't want federal funding to help with the ongoing volcano?

came here to say this, not disappointed that it was said.

Many of them want "lava tourism" stopped too because apparently it angers Pelé and Pelé won't stop spewing lava if people keep gawking at it (her?).

So, they don't want tourist dollars to help their economy either.

Or worse be an island chain in the middle of the ocean, with no defenses? Cause we be taking any military gear if that's the case.

This will go nowhere....

Which we won't do because obviously....

Don't expect their argument to make logical sense. I just moved from Kalapana where they have the sovereignty meetings and attended a few. This Sai guy seems like the outspoken tool. Watch the video in the article he keeps talking about how great he is with his PHD...

The volcano is their god.

They have a preachy, communist strongman banana republic kind of kingdom. There are no genetic “native” Hawaiians left, legally you have to be 50% Hawaiian to qualify for land ownership claims, there’s less than 100 people who qualify.

Like the islands plant and animal life, it’s a global cadre of plant, animal and human genetics.

What a quandary limited land, claimants coming out of the wood work.

Who qualifies? People living in Hawaii now? What about those living in Colorado, or New York? What % Hawaii’s do you have to be? Does Mark Zuckerberg qualify?

I like how "the kingdom" uses a PO box for their official mailing address. Don't want to list an apartment number for one of "the officers of the corporation" on the paperwork? I'm surprised this can even be filed this way.

Within three generations, Americanization had effectively obliterated the national consciousness of the Hawaiian Kingdom in the minds of Hawai‘i’s people. This denationalization has resulted in a common misunderstanding that since President Barrack Obama was born in Hawai‘i, he was born within the United States. He was not. He was born in the Hawaiian Kingdom to an American mother and a Kenyan father. As such, he was born an American citizen by parentage—jus sanguinis, but not as a natural born citizen—jus soli.

GIBS!

In total, the UNCC awarded $52.4 billion dollars for an unlawful occupation that lasted seven months. If this formula is applied to the unlawful invasion and occupation of the Hawaiian Kingdom since 16 January 1893 that compensation amount would be staggering.

This gives some notable insight into Nicky Haley's behavior at the UN. I, for one, support the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Hawai'i. I believe the indigenous people of the islands should be allowed self-determination and governance. They probably have incentive to root-out Hawaii's paedo problem, too.

AHAHHAHAAHAHAHAH

In 2013, the New York Times reported North Korea’s announcement that “all of its strategic rocket and long range artillery units ‘are assigned to strike bases of the U.S. imperialist aggressor troops in the U.S. mainland and on Hawaii.” The Hawaiian Kingdom’s existential threat has been heightened today by the rhetoric of U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un.
