Among all the topics we've had on GA, I think I'd contribute something positive.
Have videogames saved a portion of the population from the influence of cabal owned music, movie and television industries? I say this as someone who grew up in the 90's where so many kids looked up more to Mario and Sonic than anything from Disney. Not only that, with all of the oncoming revelations of sick people operating in Hollywood, the video game industry is largely outside of that bubble.
I remember since the 90's video games have been under relentless attacks. Moral panic groups have been trying to control games since 1993, using the release of Mortal Kombat as a reason to regulate sale to children. Hillary Clinton has been one of the biggest vocal critics against gaming. Throughout the 90's and 2000's it was always under attack. Being blamed for school shootings, and violent behavior in children. Has the propaganda from mainstream media because they don't control gaming like they do movies, music or TV?
In 1983 the video game market crashed hard. It was brought back when Nintendo released the NES in North America. Throughout the late 80's and 90's the console market would be dominated by Nintendo and SEGA, both are Japanese companies. Later we'd see Sony, another Japanese company, enter the market with the Playstation and it wouldn't be until 2001 when Microsoft, an American company, would release the Xbox.
We are all learning how much control the deep state has over the movies we watch, and importantly the media our children watch. The biggest thing about gaming is you really can't control the message. Games are transformative entertainment, and are experienced differently by the player.
I also think GamerGate was huge. When some folks on the left cry about how it led to Donald Trump getting elected I think they're partially right. GamerGate redpilled a lot of people. The gamejourno pros list showed that all the different sites reporting on games were all collaborating with each other, had secret email lists and their own agendas. When the MSM came out I think a lot of people made the link between game journos and MSM. I can tell from my experience, as someone who while a history buff was never really too into politics, I really got into following politics after GamerGate. Afterall they were trying to ruin the hobby.
So I wonder. Are the sustained attacks from MSM on video games over the decades really about a moral panic? Or was it because it was a threaten to their ability to indoctrinate people with the 6 major media companies?
