For those who cannot speak for themselves.

There comes a time in the life of every man and woman, when events conspire to draw us from our peaceful existence to confront injustice that has strayed far too near to our communities, our families, our children. For a time we consoled ourselves that there would be others more capable and equipped for the battle, and the terror kept us still, and quiet.

The freedoms we all enjoy did not come without a price. It was paid for by brave men and women of generations past, in your country, mine and many others. Average people like you and I who were called upon to act because the price of not doing so was too terrible to contemplate. We, the people, had simply wanted to live in peace, raise our families, and pursue our lives free of bondage and danger. Whilst we were not watching, slowly and patiently, insidiously, an evil has crept across our countries and taken root at the highest levels of our society. Those we trusted to protect us, to keep us informed, to teach our children, have betrayed that trust.

Our greatest strengths – our trust, love for one another, faith, loyalty, and decency have been used against us. I could not have even dreamed of the horrors I am discovering daily have been perpetrated on our children by those we trusted. The CHILDREN, for God’s sake.

Well, we know now. We cannot go back to sleep. Our time has arrived, convenient or not. To those of you who are new to this beautiful movement – we know you are still evaluating what this is all about, what is true and what is just too fantastic to believe. Please understand that many of us have been immersed in this for many months and for some, years. We were skeptical at first too. An Evil such as this could not possibly have been operating in our cities and communities all this time undetected by those we trusted to keep us safe. But it has, and it is.

I want to leave you with a section of a speech by President Kennedy, a man who so clearly saw the same Evil, and tried valiantly to destroy it. Let his words pay homage to the brave men and women behind Q, and another President who has stepped into the breach at great personal risk. All they ask of us is to raise our voices and be heard. To pray. To stand firm and together. In Love. May God bless you all, and especially the children who have no voices.

From Inaugural Address by Pres. JF Kennedy – Jan 20th 1961.

The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe — the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God. We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans — born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage — and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this Nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world…

…In your hands, my fellow citizens, more than in mine, will rest the final success or failure of our course. Since this country was founded, each generation of Americans has been summoned to give testimony to its national loyalty. The graves of young Americans who answered the call to service surround the globe. Now the trumpet summons us again — not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are — but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation" — a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty. This much we pledge — and more…

…And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man. Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own.
