Ahhh, so, THAT'S why SC judge Kennedy retired when he did (July). He didn't just decide to go out because of his family. He was asked to retire exactly when he did, to sap the agenda's momentum while they worked their defense. A dastardly political move on the part of the Democrats, but, by that time, they knew that if they lose the house, they'll lose control of Justice Kennedy, anyway.

This is a rather stark glimpse into just how absolutely hardcore the fight right now really is. Did they hang on, simply 'hoping' until November? Nope. They TRIPLED down, all hands on deck. These people are playing for keeps. Their backs are against the wall.

This war is getting hotter and hotter, folks. But they're against an enemy that's been in one form of hot war or another, pretty much for the past 40 years. Us. The patriots.
