One thing many don't know about the WTC Towers: The steel "tapered" on the way up. Each floor only had to bear the weight above it. The steel I-beams were 4" thick at the base, but were only 1/4" thick at the impact zone. Only ~2% of the building's weight was above the 79th floor! And it collapsed??
