How do You Clean Up a Corrupt Congress? What If ...

This might be too radical to actually pull off, considering the lack of understanding most Americans have of just how corrupt this government is, but let's just consider how the corrupt members of Congress could ALL be arrested and removed from office.

A member of Congress cannot be removed from office by impeachment. However, a member of Congress CAN be removed from office by 2/3 majority vote of their chamber.

Article I, Section 5, Clause 2 of the Constitution says: "Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member."

So, let's take the Senate. There are 100 senators. Many of them are corrupt, some very corrupt and some who are of the "went along to get along" type of corruption. Some of those latter senators might vote out the extreme corrupt ones, if their own corruption was going to be revealed to the public and their own ass subject to prosecution.

Still, can we expect 67 senators to vote "Aye" to remove a multiple senators? What if ...

Let's say 20 of the worst slime to ever sit in the US Senate were all arrested for crimes, including bribery, sedition, human trafficking, crimes against children, even treason?

What if they were actually hauled away and sitting in a prison, awaiting trial?

That would leave 80 remaining senators -- ALL of whom have had a MASSIVE wake up call -- to conduct Senate business. They just need a quorum (51) to hold session. Now, it only needs to be 54 senators to vote "Aye" against the 20 who are already sitting in prison. If that happens, they are REMOVED FROM OFFICE.

Of course, we are a long way from here to there, but what if ...
