I read a news article about that Fire and Fury book (not in English, but I'm sure there are plenty of English articles), and it mentioned Trump allegedly liking to retire to his bedroom early and eat a cheeseburger in bed. I guess making up a lie about cheese pizza would have been too obvious. The author must be totally comped, not just an opportunistic hack.

They're subtly preparing their bluepilled followers in advance of the truth getting out. "But Trump does it too!"

The author is making it sound like Trump likes to rape children in his bedroom, but in a way that will get over the heads of ignorant people. The author is counting on the audience that is aware of the code assuming that the author was himself ignorant and repeated what he heard a about Trump's nightly habits in all innocence. This is also how the author can avoid the otherwise-inevitable libel suit.
