MS13 is used for many purposes, not just drug-running. I doubt individual members know or care that they are really working for clowns.

They can be and are connected. Q obliquely confirmed that Seth Rich was murdered (shot) by MS13 and that those two were then found later, dead in a car in NC (IIRC). Henchmen got taken out later by other henchmen.
