The bread and wine SYMBOLIZE the sacrifice of Jesus' body and blood. We take communion as a REMEBERANCE of this sacrifice:
Luk_22:19 And He took bread and gave thanks, and He broke it and gave it to them, saying, This is My body which is given for you, this do in remembrance of Me.
The bread and wine stay bread and wine…there is no TRANSUBSTANTIAION.
If there were transubstatiation it would mean we sacrifice Jesus Christ over and over and over again every time a mass is celebrated. This is NOT according to Scripture:
Heb_10:10 By this will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
