I didn't like Pence because he is one of them, and a thumper, fake or not. He has one solid rule that kept him insulated, regarding women and being alone. Whether he knew it would come in as a gambit or not, it did keep him safe.

Even though I did three decades in service to the country, I felt like programs like this were a bit like brainwashing. Obama had a program he was trying to create that was the same, but on their globalist/socialist framework. Super spoopy. A young person can choose to do JROTC, and it gives them a bit of a jump if they continue on with ROTC in college and then we hopefully get the bringht, already military minded ones in the officer's ranks (thought process behind it) and it leads to less initial training. Our aversion to youth corps and stuff hanks to Hitler Youth and such is valid, but I will say that JROTC requires a level of physical input and study in government, etc that you don't get in public schools much anymore, thanks to all the cut backs.
