I might be reaching, but yet again this might be why the Warlocks & Wizards don't like to use Sid's name. The related pics are from The Unwelcome Warlock - A legend of Ethshtar. Perhaps when Sid was a prisoner, he made a deal with a demon. Maybe there's something else that could be inferred from that book.
