Many leaks are purposeful release of info to friendly outlets. So long as the leaks don't involve classified info, they are perfectly legal.
Classified leaks are illegal. I believe that knowingly publishing classified info is also illegal; no 1st amendment protections.

Bannon needs to be truly turned loose. He's a lunatic and a pitbull, but Trump can't be tied to him in any way. Hence, the brutal split.
Also, the msm NEVER covers what Trump wants covered (have the masses been told by the msm that the Dow is at 25295?).
BUT, the msm will defintiely cover Trump going ballistic at Bannon, who the msm hates anyway.
These are just my opinions, of course.
But I just didn't see Bannon doing anything to deserve this treatment, so I think it is a setup.
One more outside speculation on my part: this play by Trump and Bannon is a setup to catch some leakers and/or journos who print the leaks.
