I think Sessions going after marijuana is an effort to force marijuana legalization at the federal level. Too many dispensaries are laundering money.
He can’t tackle organized crime as long as marijuana is at odds with federal and state laws. Marijuana must be legalized federally.
By making moves against it, it almost guarantees the motivation for federal legalization via a constitutional ammendment. Just 34states need to approve it.
Does anyone else see this as a strategy to achieve a win for the left without alienating the conservative base by broadcasting that he’s a actually FOR nationwide legalization?
