Lessons learned are always valuable.
Was the BO/BV team truly attempting to divide and destroy? There are many better ways they could do that.
Could they have been working to steer the boards and get narrative control? Maybe, maybe not.
Could it be a bunch of people with different ideas on what to do coming up with new approaches that didn’t work? Maybe.
On TL we have struggled with how to handle shills and shit posters as well. I do not point any finger at someone attempting to do good and failing. This is all new, unprecedented, and intensely complicated. Mistakes will be made. Clumsy implementations will happen. I am not perfect and do not expect anyone else to be.
That said, there are some that seem to be working to undermine and subvert. Some that want control and power. Those are positions that should be called out and corrected. 0ne is not above another.
I for 1 give great thanks to the BO/BV/baker community at large. They are unpaid people trying their best to support and serve the boards and movement. Shills will shill and some will slip by for a time, but more eyes are being opened through these lessons we are seeing and the community will be stronger for it.
Lessons are sometimes very difficult and emotional. Those are often the best ones to learn.
