I grew up strictly prohibited from all movies, stories, comics and fiction. I only learned my 'pop culture' in adulthood. And I try to never watch a movie or show twice. So, obviously - I don't see any movie plots in your dream, but I can relate to the part where you get a great deal on something you want but then are foiled and threatened in every way to prevent you from laying claim to whatever good deal that was. Super frustrating.
I have come to think, that stuff like this is in fact a demonic attack. They come to you in your dreams with proposals…suggestions…denouncements. Things that confuse and confound, take you in circles and to dead ends.
Fighting is the thing to do in these kinds of dreams. It's like the wizard of oz, if you rip back the curtain you will see that it's nothing but gargoyles and trolls and they really don't want you to see them as they are. The name of Jesus, Jesus of Nazareth, etc. does work believe it or not. So does 'get thee behind me satan'. I think it's because saying these phrases lets them know that you are on to them, and dissipates the power they have.
