In my eyes hope is a bit out of the box in terms of Doubt.
Doubt has a polarity = 0 to 1 - reaching from unconditional faith over confidence up to fear and finally despair.

=This is absolutely true.
If you have faith - you need no hope.
"Knowing" is the Key - "Thinking" is the Trap"
If you have hope you believe in chance!
But there is only cause and effect.
