I think I'm figuring this out… The long chain carbon can melt from a solid to liquid and the artifacts that are found in coal could have been there because it was buried in liquid form then set as a solid with artifact in it. It would need extreme heat to do that, so a electrical discharge from space due to a planet coming close by earth.
Carbon and Hydrogen are in space so maybe a electrical soup was made?

My first intuition when I saw your pic was that it wasn't a comet but God tearing open the fabric of space and looking through the hole he created back at man.
Now what I'm about to say is going to be a little out there so please bear with me.
What if we are moving forward through the linear timline backwards. In other words we are going back to the start of creation on a timeline made to look like we are going forward.
In our past we know that we came from a golden age on earth correct? What if that was our future and we have been going to our past, to creation, like we are going back in our evolution?
