Yes the industrial use of silver will be the key in the future.

And because of this the coins are needed:

• Industry needs only highest purity = 999.9 (same purity as gold usually has) otherwise they have to refine it again.

• Bars are not cheaper at least not in my country because there is a much lower tax on foreign coins in comparison to bars for private owners here.

• Bars have a unique number that will be tracked always and is a risk for anonymity in general.

• And the acceptance of bars in a bad situation is much worse compared to coins.
