Wong ID: 115b65 ok I'll just move my words here then, keep it simple. March 15, 2018, 3:28 p.m. No.2426   🗄️.is 🔗kun   >>5056

A conservatory often refers to a building or room having glass or tarpaulin roofing and walls used as a greenhouse, i.e. a Sunroom.

Another, perhaps lesser known use of this word is of a school devoted to the study and art of Music.

There are no coincidences.

This thread is for anything and everything related to MUSIC.

Everything from Baroque Master (Bach) to modern gems like Tool, and anything in between. Music is universal, and even when a malignant force attempts to bend music to its malicious will, the truth has a tendency to SHINE through.

Let me give you an example,

Beyonce - Halo.

Beyonce is the last "artist" one might expect to find enlightenment from, and to be sure ..much of her work must be carefully dissected to find their true intentions. Then on the other hand she has songs like Halo.

>Hit me like a ray of sun

>Burning through my darkest night

>You're the only one that I want

>Think I'm addicted to your light

I don't think I have to go deeper into what finger nuanced meaning she could be getting on about here.. am I wrong? I would love to be corrected if I am, by ALL means!

And that is the whole point! You hear some music that rings true, please share! Discuss! Teach! Learn!

I have no doubt much of the information on this board is alot to take in but MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL!

I myself have a long list that I will have to carefully curate and present when I am able, but please, dont sit there and try to tell me "i don't really listen to music". Sure you do! and I would love to hear what you think.

*I think I will add POETRY here as well, unless someone believes that poetry deserves its own thread?

A few notable examples I thought I would leave here for the time being. The LYRICS friends, who wrote them??

>"COME ON PEOPLE NOW, SMILE ON YOUR BROTHER EVERYBODY GET TOGETHER TRY TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER RIGHT NOW…

The way Kurt Wails this plea to the world is remarkably akin to something one of you faggots might go spouting out about, no? Love you guys.

Then he goes on to drop some crumbs of TRUTH for us all, starting with out one of our favorite topics, Aliens

>When I was an alien, Cultures weren't opinions

>Never met a wise man, If so it's a woman

>Just because you're paranoid, Don't mean they're not after you

With desperate calls to "Find our way, gotta get away, etc" You can really hear the desperation in his wailing voice towards the end of the song.

I think there is something to say about these based musicians that hero themsevles in their late twenties. Is it possible they learned of the truth too early or in some incomplete way, and the horrifying reality of what they discovered was just too much to handle? They sure didn't have a board like there, how alone he must have felt. Then again, he goes on to talk about

>Our little group has always been and always will until the end

(from the song smells for teen spirit)

Perhaps he just no longer cared for this world and wished to be with "his little group" ?

Sublimes Bradley also died at an early age.. I will go into detail with some Sublime with my next post

Wong ID: 115b65 Math Rock March 15, 2018, 4:01 p.m. No.2450   🗄️.is 🔗kun

Sometimes called "Japanese Math Rock" but I don't see how giving a genre of music a territorial claim is supposed to help something that is as universal as Music. The Japanese by no means pioneered "Math Rock", but they do do a DAMN good job of it, I will admit.

What is math rock?

>Math rock is characterized by complex, atypical rhythmic structures (including irregular stopping and starting), counterpoint, odd time signatures, angular melodies, and extended, often dissonant, chords.

>Whereas most rock music uses a 4/4 meter (however accented or syncopated), math rock frequently uses non-standard time signatures such as 7/8, 11/8, or 13/8, or features constantly changing meters based on various groupings of 2 and 3. This rhythmic complexity, seen as mathematical in character by many listeners and critics, is what gives the genre its name.

Not even going to try to analyze, just listen. PAY ATTENTION TO THE DRUMS!

>Me and my girl we got this relationship

>I love her so bad but she treats me like (shh) >On lock down like a penitentiary

>She spreads her lovin' all over

>And when she gets home there’s none left for me

Who is the girl?

What is the nature of their relationship?

What is a penitentiary?

>Oh take this veil from off my eyes

>My burning sun will someday rise

>So what am I gonna be doin' for a while

>Said I'm gonna play with myself

>Show them how we come off the shelf

Play with myself? Surely he isn't talking about masturbation.

The last line from this set is probably my favorite in this song. "Show them how we come off the shelf" It's assertive and humble at the same time while making his intentions clear to all interested parties.

>Evil

>I've come to tell you that she's evil most definitely

>Evil

>Ornery scandalous and evil most definitely

>The tension is getting hotter

>I'd like to hold her head underwater

Love his use of the word "Ornery" here. Exactly the same word I would use for my own ..Ego? Who is this evil bitch again?
