Personally, I enjoyed the scripture passages on love and spiritual gifts. I think they're useful wisdom especially when navigating the minefield of religious ideologies and brainwashing.
Sliding a thread means this:
"making a thread obsolete by off-tracking it in some way."
It becomes more of a problem with a faster moving thread, as it makes it more difficult for someone who is reading for information to get the relevant stuff.
(it's also great practice, if you ask me ;))
When you post without linking a prior post, it causes those who read by the index to only see the most recent, and miss other important posts if they don't have the time to read the whole thread.
In summary - we are here to support you and each other with awakening. We also hope to inspire others who lurk and do not post. As such, keeping slides and shitposting to a minimum is simply good manners and a way of being kind to our fellow humans.

Ann Lee, the 'Shaker' is another intriguing one. She and her followers worshiped by ecstatic dancing and shaking. So they were called (painfully obviously) Shakers.
We've discussed shaking as a type of yoga practice before on here. I think the problem lies in the 'worshiping'.
