It is also known as the Elven Star or Faerie Star.

In reading about it the Order of the Silver Star popped out at me. That rabbit hole was quite fascinating, but I have just scratched the surface. I am unsure of your thoughts on that line of thinking, but it looks like a dig worth doing.
