This being Parallax was benevolent in it's origins. It is that of a being that began as an immortal, who sought to harness the power of fear to conquer it. Only to be consumed by that fear and turned into the very essence of fear itself. Destroying and conquering worlds feeding off that fear. Sound familiar?
