It has a faint yellow orange glow but it looks like three stars.

Not a star (?), human aircraft (usually with blinking red), nor a firework/lantern

It didn't move so it seems to be not travelling (there's also no sound)

Then it faded away smoothly. What was it? Did it fade away because I saw it?
