Hildegard of Bingen had visions and despite the unverifiability of whether or not her original visions survived, an interesting connection is to Carl Jung; his work The Red Book seems to draw inspiration heavily from Hildegard’s Illuminated manuscripts, such as ‘Scivias’.

Jon James Pratt999/cosmiclol/the storm likes to brag about being a humble illuminated polymath, holding all the cards etc.

This led me to the image of #17 from Scivias given, depicting the conquering of Lucifer.

I’m an artist and I spend many hours alone painting, and I want to make my paintings the best I can. It was always my dream to be an artist and I’ve been committed to it despite the hardships for many years. I don’t make much money: these days, due to the CV I am making $0.

Just learned what Talmud actually teaches.

Could the use of ‘Illuminated Polymath’ be designed to make people search this term? Were Nuns originally/still prostitutes for Clergy? Could her visions and headaches be the result of dissociative abuse/demonization?

Perhaps there is something here to theorize…I’m not sure one way or the other regarding the Veridity of her work. Its a powerful series of images nonetheless, could be linked to hypnogogia, trance states, etc. Hopefully this post means something positive?
