"I" couldn't agree more. In order to approach another as an equal you must respect that the other is an individual who deserves respect for having their own opinions derived from their own experiences. Asserting that someone is worth less for expending their own time and effort to express the views they themselves hold is tantamount to asserting that you hold a position of power above them. Without consent, you are very literally trying to enslave them.

As was alluded too there, the post is referencing another which was removed for being in the wrong thread. I still have the original post saved locally, as well as quite a lot more that didn't make it in that I plan to expand upon. Unfortunately since general is full I wasn't able to put it up immediately.
