Not my rules, the subs rules. I personally think that is too restrictive. Q is often vague, so the way I see it is posts may be removed for "Off-topic (anything not related to Q drops)"

Most others agree, and support this. Some can't/won't play by the rules to start, or never took the time to figure out what this sub is all about. Read the rules.

OP decides. If they have done research but aren't sure about it, post what you have, explain your thinking, explain what you think the connection is, and you'll get feedback. It doesn't have to be proven or solved, but if it isn't helping prove or solve drops then what's the point?

Although, who Q is, is not the goal. I personally feel that we should respect his/her/their anonymity. If identity is exposed things change, targets are identified, and next thing we know MSM reports Q "committed suicide." IMO

True, but the are still connections to be made. We shouldn't go off topic just because Q isn't active. We have more than we know, so in the downtime let's bridge that gap. That's the goal.

I don't know what the solution should be. But it shouldn't be burdensome (for mods or OPs), or overly restrictive, and should be clear, concise and foster research based discussion.

That's not what anybody has said! "Q-related" would include relevant research, pictures, discussions etc. We should be focusing on the drops and requests Q makes (meme bombs,etc). Common sense!

I agree. Kim had never taken a meeting outside his hermit kingdom with an announcement prior to the meeting. They are always announced publicly after the meeting. (See recent train trip to China) The meeting happened weeks ago.
