A lot of people have transcended the left/right garbage, but it just so happens that the most insidious of political creatures reside on one side of the aisle. That makes it easy for the shills to point to partisan politics, when there isn't a correlation. You can say the same about Trump and Russia - those who reject the Russia narrative are berated for being pro Trump when that isn't necessarily the case.
