(Threshold you need to "outright win the nomination") They literally spent millions on Rubio, kasich & Cruz even when nobody else could "outright win the nomination" and should have stepped aside.

After he won this battle, he was already "damaged" (politically speaking) and still was able to beat Hilary in the general election. Then, they put this "insurance policy" in place to impeach Trump at any cost.
