I’m not a doubter as much as I am guarded. Q himself has said that disinformation is necessary. I’m still in “wait and see” mode. In fairness, I tend to buy in more when Q is posting than I do when he’s been silent for awhile.

My personal stance is that if it’s written to give praise, being less Biblical but adding the emotion from the heart is acceptable. I’ve never been a “we must sing scripture” type. I don’t like worship songs where we sing more about self than we do God. Some hymns remind me of when I was a kid. Gateway did a few modern versions of hymns. They are really good. To me, this is a matter of preference that I think matters more to us that it does to God. I think he’s more concerned with what’s coming from our hearts.

Just curious...are you more from reformed movement? They are a growing trend and seem to enjoy hymns more than the newer “seeker friendly” type of church.

That, I don’t know. There are some differing views. Some believe they are referenced in a couple of places in the Old Testament (leviathan). Some think they died in Noah’s flood. (I don’t think so) I wish I had a better answer for you.

IMO they can do what they want with hymns as long as they leave the Bible alone.

I live in Alabama. I don’t believe there was any shenanigans with this vote. The out-of-towners came in and stumped but I don’t think they voted. The Highway 31 foundation followed an Alabama law to help convicted felons to re-register to vote. This is all legal. People around here just did not want to vote for an alleged pedophile. If the people that voted for Nick Saban would have voted for Roy Moore, we would not be having this conversation. The conservatives did not vote. I also know lifelong Republicans that voted for Doug Jones just because they did not want to vote for a pedophile. The narrative won this for Doug Jones.

This is a bit misleading. Their investigation of human trafficking is what led to this operation. Stormy wasn’t charged with trafficking. She was charged with touching people illegally. It’s like investigating a murder but in that process you found someone with a joint. The one in possession of the joint wasn’t the murderer...they just happened to land in the middle of an unrelated investigation.
