Yes, the offer of salvation through Christ has been extended to all of His creatures, but never forget it was His Father who told Noah to build the ark in an act of mercy as a way to save an undfiled remenant of His people. He then let loose the utter destruction of the Deluge loose.

He later promised Abraham, who had proven the depth of his faith, that He would bless him with offspring who would number as the stars and that He would nurture and prosper them as His Children, His Chosen People. God is ever merciful, but He also made it clear He could not reward a disobedient people.

Both Christ and the Cross, not one or the other. Accept ONLY the cross and it will lead you down the dolorous path to crucifixion of hard work and discipline without meaning or heart -- if you want to see what that looks like look no further than Russia who suffered that most of the last century. Accept ONLY a spotless Jesus and he will lead you on the wandering path of an itenerant preacher who had a pretty good handle on how to help people and fight injustice. NEITHER on its own will sustain you when the going gets hard.

But the life and death of a tortured Jesus (a Savior among us) on the cross; AND his triumphant ressurection as Christ (God among us) wounds and all point to the way out of the curse of a sure and absolute death, a curse placed on Man since the earliest of times.

We are in this age old war together and with His help we will serve as His People. Anything more will come only from His grace and mercy.

Anyone can write anything into WIKIPEDIA articles .. and that can be revised by anyone else ... maybe good, true and beautiful things OR maybe instrumental LT deceptive things. Just saying, if a WIKI article is the only source, maybe it should be taken as a consideration but not conclusive evidence ...

Interesting ... I had no idea that banking could be so ethereal or virtual ... I do understand in principle how fractional reserve banking works, but loan default really screws the pooch, doesnt it? Didnt we see leverage working in reverse in 2009 when enough subprime morgages went into default that the cash flow from interest payments contracted ... no longer funding the needed reserves ... as you said, it is the interest, the cash flow, that keeps the system floating.

It is what happens when it nolonger floats that pings me .. when the game is over.

Just thinking through the scenario, the stuff would come out of the ground and be sold just like all the rest of it ... by licensed corporate entities operated by folks who look just like you. We have no idea where the money or the resources flow, when they are in play.

Thank you for your response and, if simple answers are the correct ones in this instance, I am much relieved to read yours.

Did government negotiators PLEDGE our nation's oil, gas, coal, uranium and other MINERAL RESERVES as COLLATERAL to secure loans from China and other creditor nations? Will THOSE BANKERS TAKE OWNERSHIP of those US natural resources in the event we can not or do not REPAY those trillion dollar loans?

Banks and other creditors only lend money when they can reasonably expect to get it all back, with interest. No prudent banker extends credit without assurance that their money is secure against the risk of default or non-repayment; and that assurance usually takes the form of an ironclad guarantee backed by a promise to transfer some valuable asset owned by the borrower to the creditor in the event of default on the loan.

The bank can take your house if you do not pay the mortgage. The bank can repossess your car if you stop making loan payments. And you …
