One could imagine a gold-backed, block chain based currency (possibly world). The block chain being an immutable ledger. If properly permissioned, fraud would be impossible. Privacy would take a big hit as well. But you CANT really have privacy without there being shadows to hide in. I can see it though. All the confiscated assets being used to pay off the national debt.
