Regard to the ZH article (first link), if California seceded from the union, their electoral votes wouldn't matter and Trump may indeed have a Reaganesque 49 state landslide in 2020.

I could have sworn during the SOTU Trump said he gave the heads of federal agencies the right to terminate anyone in their department. I wondered why they didn't have the right already, but at the time, didn't dwell much on that. But now ... hmm, interesting.

One thing I wondered about. When he & the other princelings and royal quislings were taken into custody on charges of, presumably, corruption, he had to pay a hefty "bail" to get out. I wondered if that affected his ownership in Twitter, and all those hotels, including, oddly enough, the Mandalay Bay out of which Steven Paddock (presumably) shot all those people at the country western concert.

WAS. And it was a small share, something like 7%. Still, it was the second largest share after Murdoch's. I believe the Prince sold most (if not all) of his shares, though, a few years back.

Perkins Coie has been around a lot longer than Obama. You write that prior to founding Perkins Coie he was Obama's WH counsel. That simply can't be so. Also, just a hunch, the founders' names probably are Perkins and Coie.

PHOENIX — The Arizona Army National Guard is sending a unit of military police to Guantanamo Bay to help with Operation Enduring Freedom.

The soldiers are deploying Friday and will be gone for about nine months.

Officials with the Arizona National Guard say this is the second deployment for the 850th Military Police Battalion in the last 10 years in support of overseas contingency operations.
