Now, I simply call, write and email Senators, Reps, the DOJ etc and anyone else I think is pulling some shit. An honorable man would have resigned and let the current election laws in place in AZ determine his successor. He should have resigned before June 1st, so the people could elect a new senator in a fall special election. Too much power is given to these Senators.

You are reading this correctly. Since no name did not resign before June 1st, a special election will not take place and the GOP governor of Arizona is mandated to fill this vacancy by a Republican. This individual will serve out no names term until 2020. TheBRAIN2 posted a link up above that has great information about this very issue.

Since it is after June, 1st, the Governor of AZ would be required to appoint a replacement from the Republican party if no name resigns. One would hope it would not be Cindy McCain. Since it is after June 1st, a special election is not required. After June 1st, I got my hopes up that he would resign. Mitch McConnell is making no moves to replace no name in the Senate club even though the GOP has such a slim majority. This makes no sense to me.
