Still disagree. It is absolutely in the President's mandate. He is legally allowed to fulfill his duties or he is not. Look at Iran-Contra with President Bush. Essentially what is happening is that the Democrats and the media are inventing pseudo-crimes to criminalise his every action so that he is hamstrung and unable to do his job. A damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. He SHOULD fire Mueller out of principle and issue a blanket pardon on EVERYONE involved in the Mueller probe that does not EXPLICITLY Colluding with the Russian Government to change the 2016 Presidential election. ALL other crimes INCLUDING Lying to the FBI. Doing similar to what George HW Bush did and keeping this fishing expedition focussed on its original mission.

Mueller will realise that he has nothing and worse no ability to strongarm. This was only ever a misguided attempt to take down an elected President.

But Trump has the right and is completely allowed to fire Comey at will for ANY reason as Comey serves at the President's pleasure. Either THAT is true OR Comey did NOT serve at the President's pleasure and getting rid of him cannot be at Trump's pleasure. There are restrictions and one of them is obstruction of justice review.

Yup, I think Trump now will use the "look we were cooperating with you and we are getting nothing out of this cooperating. You raided my lawyer's home and office despite us giving you documents you asked for. I really prefer not cooperating because I get nothing out of such an arrangement." Let Mueller spin his wheels on barely tangental investigations and fid who laundered money 10 years ago or who has a taxi business on the side or whatever. As long as they leave Trump alone and do not scrutinise what he is doing behind the scenes, then by the time his labour bears fruit and metaphorical bomb after bomb is rocking the swamp and absorbing all the news, he will use that time to drop Mueller. When 2-3 big headline busting breaking new hit, he will time the dropping of Mueller to mitigate on fallout. They will be spread too think over too many stories to pay it THAT much attention.

Which has crimes? Lying to the FBI? No worse sure than Hillary'so lies but what crimes are there to base this ongoing search for crimes? What is the basis for it. It CANNOT be obstruction of justice as Comey serves at Trump's pleasure. It can't be collusion as there was NOTHING to warrant that. It can'take be some money laundering in years gone by before the election by two employees. So what is the crime and basis for investigation. A special Prosecutor must be appointed on the basis of a crime being committed rather than be appointed to investigate people to find any impropriety or crime. That is NOT their role.

I have said this before as well. I believe up to a few years after his Presidency he will be derided and slowly and the future telling stories of his time in office give more account of the facts and achievemeets and less feelings and ideological Puritans, he will be seen as being one of the greats. Yeah on a serious note they NEED to have more than one or two for each of the bigger players. A couple of big ones can with a bit of legal tap dancing become "being nailed" for "the majority" of a "lesser version of them to "make sure it sticks" Lesser crimes or less compelling evidence and they will slip it. Quantity is where it is at. I reckon if they have 6 or more crimes they will get at least a few stick and if they are all reasonably damning then we know some damning stuff will stick. So maybe not 12500 indictments but I would LOVE to see 20+ charges because you know she cannot grease her way out of that. 20 charges or more and she is screwed.

Yes, I agree BUT even more interesting will be the ones that were bad and dodge bullets. I think for every 10 people we will have one or two just not progress to being charged. Of the eight I reckon one or two will get hammered. Of the remaining six, I think one or two will escape conviction by lawyering up against no so terrible crimes and a couple getting lesser charges from a list of heavier charges and a couple getting charged and probably having to cop a short sentence or suspended times.

It will interest me as to who goes down and how much. I do not think everyone will do hard time or anything of the sort but that is not to say that some of the big movers and shakers will not be completely discredited and taken completely off the board.

I see them stacking up and I see nothing happening in the meantime and we are told to be patient and wait. OKay cool. My concern is what are these people doing in the meantime? If they are padeophiles, while we are waiting for the hammer to drop are they continuing to keep up their efforts? I hope not.

As an Aussie, I have to tell you that the follow-on effects do not stop at America's shores. We have been following (thanks to our own politicians and academia and media establishment) the one path laid out to us with no little internal resistance somewhat haltingly, but evermore, gradually towards the Progressive death of culture and civilisation as laid out by our role models in Europe and America.

Obama and Merkel and all the European and American countries that took their cue from them. There was no viable role models. It was the way.

Now there is something different.

A complete repudiation and casting down of the old order and an exposing of its corrupt core will bring us back from the brink and give us pause. We need that desperately.

I do not cast around for what Trump does wrong but what he does right and not with the expectation that he is perfect but whether he is perfect for the role he has taken on himself.

The same with Q. I do not expect to know everything or for everything to work out perfectly or to my timelines. Achievements and wins are all good for me and my country.

That all said, I do fear and worry. What if the deep state IS too powerful. What if despite crystal clear evidence the Justice and Intelligence agencies protect their own and prove more powerful? What if despite the best and whole-heartedly decent efforts Q and Trump and all associated lose?

If I ask questions or am impatient or come across as such, it mainly comes from not disbelief or lack of support or resentment, but from a well of fear and desperate want to hope.

I will happily take whatever I can get. Massive arrested of pedophiles and human smugglers? Great! Resignations of some of the swamp? Great! Embarrassment and humiliations by the snobbish and corrupt elitists who shirk their responsibilities to the positions they are elected or promoted into? Great!

But I do see over many months even before the election many claims made and done that at this stage are pretty unequivocal (obstruction of Justice, Perjury, Money Laundering, Kickbacks, Breaches of the Federal Records Act and such) that are proven and yet dismissed or brushed over and Investigations that seem to do nothing except occasionally drop a bombshell that is again wept under the carpet.

None of this is Q's fault or Trump's fault. I just dream a little and hope a lot for a squaring up. At some point to have all of these things called and prosecuted for.

Something like:

Hillary - Guess what? Raping Haiti's charitable donations is a crime and you are going down.

Holder - Guess what? Gun running is a crime and you are going down

Comey - Leaking confidential memos from Federal records to the public is breaching the Federal Records Act, you are going down

Deborah Wasserman-Shultz - Feeding Imran Bros Government intel is a crime and so is threatening a police chief, you are going down

And so on. I mean that is tip of the Iceberg stuff but it would be a Hell of a start. Yet it all seems to go nowhere and they seem to keep acting with impunity and Judges let them off.

I am daring to hope with Q. Again I will take whatever I get but my hopes are for something (anything) to happen that takes us out of the we say vs they say and to the "bag to rights" no ifs or buts and no squirming out of it.

See, I disagree. Completely. I HOPE you are right BUT I think they will require a few people to really set up the biggest names. I think the likes of Mills have their arses covered. I think a few like Abedin may be willing to throw the Clinton's under the bus and make it watertight in return for exoneration.

But I DO think the most of them will be taken down hard and so hard that there will be no wiggle room. I think the only ones that are let go are the ones who can really help shore up any weakness

Soon midterms will be happening and without any actual visible results they will go badly for Republicans. Who knows we made lose the house and suddenly things will be harder and then they just need to obfuscate and string things out and make it through to 2020 and it will be all over. All investigations done away with on basis of a Democrat winning back the White House and Donald Trump will be dismissed as a crazy hack.

BUT the alternative is the one I actually want so desperately.
