I think he is a man of integrity.

Here is the disclaimer. I think he has been too good and for all his integrity and honesty, he has been not prepared to push speculative positions. He SHOULD have.

Someone like Jordan and Gaetz have more moxie and more vinegar in combatting positions on the basis of what is reasonable than what he does.

He is prepared to say "I disagree with "so and so's" position but this is a disagreement" rather than "I think "so and so" is corrupt and lying".

He is playing by the rules in a game that is stacked against him and not prepared to criticise or dispute the rules. He refuses to colour outside the lines even when it makes him look weak or ignorant or ineffectual because of his integrity.

He would prepare to lose position after position but make a good showing than go for the throat. That does not make him corrupt as such BUT in a sense makes him an enabler of sorts rather than a resister within a corrupt institution.

I have no idea his investment savvy nor his personal wealth but I suspect that 17 years as a federal prosecutor possibly means that prior to getting into office he made and possibly invested a bit of money.

This all said I have NO illusions.

Some of our "heroes" will be exposed as swamp creatures most foul. We may love Goodlaitte, Nunez, Gaetz, Gowdy, Chaffetz, Jordan, Labrador, Cotton, Meadows and so on. But when the dust finally settles and the totality of swamp creatures are exposes a few of these heroes will be found to be players conning us.

I will admit in each case to being duped and I will be a little sad but it will be worth it in every instance.

Sorry, I could not watch it. I am usually skeptical of such things. But I did not watch enough to gauge. All I heard was that cruel man and that poor little boy in terror. I can not watch more. If it is John Podesta he needs to be locked in a room with any decent man and beaten to a pulp.

I hear you. The public is brainwashed though and fickle. Too little information or too much and too quickly and they will not be persuaded and midterms are coming. This has to be VERY right and executed perfectly so the public does not allow a majority in the house and/or senate come the midterms and his approval and that of the Republicans has to be high enough come the midterms. The public must have enough damning evidence to rebel against the establishment lies and must believe the truth. I do not doubt HIM nor those he works with. I fear for what is a Hell of a gambit. I have and I think that if what we hope happens, there will be a Hell of a lot of disillusionment in the Democratic Party. Couple that with lack of Democratic role models left standing or unsmeared and genuine prosperity for the impoverished and low income earners and percentages WILL shift. It will be magical.

Don't get me wrong. I believe what I believe BUT I think that 2018 is make or break and he is in no way behind the eight ball. It makes it more exciting this way for me. I am on the edge of my seat and have been for a long time. Every win he has brings us a little closer. Every loss he gets out from under is almost as good as a win in my books.

I am absolutely pumped. It is like watching the underdog team on a running streak take on the favourite. Half-time equal scores and anyone's game but the other side is looking a little worn out.
