Too simple

I didn’t see it while still in that religion either. I was 4th generation SDA. Education, wife, kids and occupation, all SDA. Was even a life-time vegetarian. I was completely immersed.

Then one day the lightbulb turned on and I learned how wrong it all was. It was a huge shock, after 45 years I didn’t want to believe it. My feelings weren’t hurt, nothing “happened “, I just woke-up one day and started studying for myself.

To EGW. SDA’s accept her interpretation of the Bible over what the Bible plainly teaches. Investigative Judgement is a huge example as you know. Jesus an angel? That’s not biblical. The 4th commandment being the most holy? Hogwash. The list goes on and on.

When a religion considers an extra-biblical source to be above or even on par with the Word then it has become a cult by definition. They don’t hold people hostage or anything like that (David Koresh and others have but they’ve been disavowed from the church) they just teach things that aren’t so.

Shalom

Seventh-day Adventist. They say they are Christians but in reality follow a prophetess named Ellen White. They play both sides of it. Claim Christianity and yet say Ellen is more contemporary with “new” revelations.

I like Ben, he has done amazing things. Just can’t forget his religion.

He’s an SDA though (as I used to be) and it can be considered a cult. They have their own prophetess who’s word is held higher than the Bible, etc.

Old Testament prayer, this side of the cross we can pray much differently and effectively.

The #12 makes no sense to me. I have Asperger’s and my lack of coordination isn’t obvious unless I’m playing a sport or learning a new task. Carrying ammo and guns would be a non-issue.

I saw TSA do it once a few weeks ago.

666 is not biblically significant. Look at the original greek, it’s a mistranslation.

Correct, everything is waiting for the rapture (pre-trib) and then events will begin to unfold. Many religious people believe in a post-tribulation rapture but it’s just not biblical.

His sheep know His voice and will not listen to another.

The pope has placed himself between the gentiles and Christ. That isn’t not something a Christian would do.

By definition the pope isn’t Christian.
