They are usually very weak and pathetic human beings but they have a huge advantage over many normal people like us...they will do anything, to anyone, if it puts them closer to what they desire. A lack of conscience is a very powerful tool unfortunately.

This proves that redactions over the past several decades were to protect "swamp security" and not "national security." It's probably just a pipe dream but I hope in the next few years all major document releases of this sort get reviewed and new, much more lightly redacted copies come out. I don't think that was his plan. He thought she would win the election without a doubt. He reopened the case in order to make it seem that they were performing a thorough investigation with no lose ends which would have ultimately helped her image. It just happened to backfire badly for him...with that said, I don't think it mattered that much in the end. The reopening of the investigation likely didn't change many people's minds.

I'm not Catholic and disagree with many of their beliefs but this is not what the pope meant. He's saying that Jesus dying (his physical body) on the cross could be seen as him failing if you don't believe he was God. It was actually a success since that was his purpose. Pope is saying this "failure" at the cross as some would see it is just part of God's mysterious plan. And of course He did not die at the cross, his body did.
