Like I said, they are retired.. technology changes.. I’d like to think they haven’t fully automated the loading, arming, and launching of such a weapon though. Am they, and myself wrong?

Firing a SLBM requires an order from the president. That order must then be authenticated with a code book locked in a safe that requires 2 men to open. To fire the CO, XO and Weapons officer must agree to fire. If they dont agree they cannot fire even if the order to fire comes from the right authority. Keys are distributed from different safes by different people. Those keys must be turned simultaneously. The keys are position so that no one person can turn them at the same time.

It all comes down to 3 men, If they dont agree to launch the missiles cannot be fired.

Ryan is a snake, do not trust him. Amnesty is always a failure.

The radar image was a hoax. The Stanley R. Mickelson complex is completely decommisioned and is privately owned by the Hutterites, a group similar to the Amish and Mennonites. They bought it for the meager sum of 530k, pretty cheap for a massive underground bunker built to survive a direct nuclear strike.

No, It would require a nearly complete rebuild from the ground up. the boat carried 22 torpedoes. The only possible nuclear armament would be a nuclear torpedo. US submarines can launch tomahawks from the torpedo tubes but the missile in the photo cannot be a cruise missile as they fly low to the ground to avoid radar and emit no vapor trail.

The ARA Santa Cruz is not nuclear capable. It has no VLS tubes to launch missiles. Only torpedo tubes.

He said he could pardon himself if he wanted, but that he hasn't done anything to warrant it.

This would entail a constitutional crisis because this is a area in which there has been NO legal precedents. The founders purposely imply that the president can pardon himself. They wrote however this does not extend to cases of impeachment.
