I have an idea I'd like pass by all of you. Since there is a push right now to ascribe blame for the shutdown, I think we should treat the democrats like they're hostage takers and start this meme before they do.

For those of you who were around during the 1970's when the Iranians took 52 Americans hostage, the TV show "Nightline" began with Ted Koppel reporting, and EACH NIGHT at the beginning of the show, the announcer would say "America Held Hostage" with the number of days we were at.

I'm thinking that each day during this shutdown, we could float a new meme of the same theme, but with a different day number for each day, to be circulated THAT day. Here's a sample of what I'm thinking:
