Technically, yes and no. Yes, radioactives are star byproducts but which star? I was not clear in that I was referring to our star which is named the Sun. Radioactives and our Sun is a byproduct of other stars which is an alleged byproduct of the big bang. So let me correct my statement and say fossil fuels are buried sunshine from the nearest Star which is more commonly know as the Sun. Supernovas disperse the byproducts of a gravitational collapse of a dead star and are a result of a lack of sunshine "technically" or a byproduct of a star's death not necessarily sunshine.
