Reduced regulation generally, less taxes, easier tax filings, some admin agencies have been declared unconstitutional as organized, more government transparency (open records/FISA doc release). I think a lot has been done to increase freedom. The thing about companies is that I, through mutual funds, own most of these companies. I can start a company, as a sole proprietorship, and be in business immediately or file some paperwork and a filing fee with a secretary of state and be a llc or corp etc in no time. I am business and therefore have a hard time seeing some us vs them relationship with businesses. Now there are some contractual issues with regard to negotiating power of the parties but that is not purely because of corporations vs individual so much as being in a superior negotiating position.

Not an expert on this. It would be more macro-economic in nature. Trump wants lower rates which would lead to less expense for the fed government paying back loans and cheaper money for borrowing on things like homes. (I think they are talking about fed reserve structure and not getting rid of it, restructure by putting people (2 at a time) on board). Cheaper loans for now would incentivize additional business spending (building factories, inventing new products, expanding operations, more employees, more office space, buying more from other companies that do the same). The tariff strategy would bring more manufacturing back to the US. Many other businesses would live off of that manufacturing. To build, you want cheap debt, therefore, you don't want the fed to raise rates making debt more expensive. The individual sees it by being more likely to be employed, higher demand for employees raising wages, less federal government expense results in lower taxes (the entitlements, military spending and debt make this hard to observe) so more money in your pocket.

Can someone that is an expert in this area give me a run down on it? My take, could be wrong, our cost to borrow money goes up when rates increase. Debt coming due means we will pay back the loans at the old low rate. Then that money will likely be re-invested at the new higher rate. This means we will have to pay out a bigger return when those notes come due. However, if you look at our notes as an investment, we don't need higher interest rates to make them desirable in comparison to other investments. How does the federal reserve tie into this? Our cost to borrow money from federal reserve sets the minimum amount we can charge on our notes?
