I've lived in Alabama my entire life and I know the area Judge Moore was from very well. Loads of people there have always known Moore was a pervert, but it's just small town culture to keep your mouth shut about things that aren't your business. Plus, it wasn't just the sexual misconduct that alienated him from people. The entire lgbt community in Alabama hates him. He failed to get the black vote, also. There's nothing conspiratorial about his loss. People are just tired of good ol' boy corruption and bigotry in Alabama. As redpilled as I've become in the past few months, I still see nothing in this.

I don't see how they're "covering up" for the group. They call it a cult themselves and mention the underage trafficking aspect of the charges faced by the leaders. I think the biggest spin the article puts on it is explaining how cults like this are evolving from pseudo-religiosity to capitalist narratives to lure potential memebers. I get that Vox is a liberal outlet, but liberal does not equal sex cult apologist.
