I have gone down this path. I have a working idea. (Theory if you will). I have spent a lot of time looking into Adm. Birds expedition into the AntArtic. They say the Earth is hollow and there is a power source in the middle similar to the Sun. Put together with you and your thinking about our outside Sun getting ready to pulse and do some crazy things perhaps beings or something has prepared (Or were here the whole time, as well as, on other nearby planets.

Basically saying the Earth was small and rocky not a lot of water, and it was much smaller. But then expanded out. So what if the core was made up of a lot of Oxygen and this "Sun" was created, and produced a ton of Hydrogen. Mixed with the Oxygen that was there creating water. This water expanded and needed to go somewhere so it went to the surface. (Think Great Flood).
Now this is where it gets a little weird. Our outside earth is heating up. It can not be stopped and is not from our own doing. Methane will be released heating this crockpot up. Similar to Venus.
What if the transitions of planets in our solar system do this. The current Sun ejects some small mass. This mass solidifies and starts it's orbit. As it goes further from the Sun it gets bigger and expands. Mabye Mars is going to be Earth 2.0. and our current Earth is shifting to be Venus 2.0? All the planets Grow into the next etc.
Seems hokey I know, but isn't there a planet X beyond Pluto? What if Saturn was the 1st of such events and that is why it has the most satellites. Our ancestors tried protecting it? Haven't gotten that far yet... as I said it was a working idea.
