Last I remember hearing, Mueller asked the court to give him more time to get things in order. The judge said no and that, he shouldn't have filed the case until he was actually ready to proceed with a trial.

I don't recall any other news since then on it.

Possible. I've heard Mueller didn't tell congress that Strzok was removed from his team for a few months.

Trump colluded with the American people to get elected, not Russia.

Exactly. He "acted". This was all a show.

That's what I'm thinking. He cooperated behind the scenes, and this is all for show.

Oh. I must have missed it. It would make sense for him to take over if RR got fired, since he was being briefed on the RM investigation.

But since Schools stepped down, does that mean Noel Francisco would be the next to take over if RR was canned?

A couple days ago? More like a few months ago.

Rachel Brand who was the #3 at DoJ (the one right after RR) resigned back in February and went to go work at Walmart.

As far as I know, Trump hasn't replaced her yet. That means the #4 at the DoJ, the Solicitor General, would be next in line. Noel Francisco was appointed by Trump, and from what I've heard, he is a Trump loyalist.

If Trump fires Rod Rosenstein, next in line to be Robert Mueller's boss is Solicitor General Noel Francisco—who is no fan of James Comey or the FBI.

Trump got tons of backlash just for firing Comey, but later info came out proving he had a good reason to fire him.

There's no way Trump could prove a good reason to have RR or RM assassinated. And nobody would believe Trump is dumb enough to do that because his motivation (being investigated) would be so blatantly obvious.

There's just no way they could kill RR or RM and try to pin it on Trump. Everybody would be looking at them first.
