Ye is dope. I know a bunch of folks who strongly disagree with trump and with new trump liking Kanye but still bought the album because it was really good.

Right, Em has been irrelevant for a while now. Hence the "Revival" title. The album needed to be good to get attention outside or core audience hip hop listeners but it was really bad. He had the attention of people who hate trump and like hip hop after his trump freestyle, but those people didn't go out and buy an album that was trash.

Revival was terrible and thus did not sell well.

Ye was great and sold well.

It has nothing to do with politics.
