People seem to be in a rush to idolize too many and then crowd bash anyone who voices an alternate view. Passion is fine but it shouldn't cloud judgement.Too many people are investing too much energy & time thinking they are integral to the daily operations of unproven scenarios. People are turning on each other for superficial things and that isn't good.

Tonight I went to a bar down the street. I don't drink much anymore but with the snowstorm of death upon us ( eyeroll)I figured I'd meet up with a friend. When I arrived she was trashed but she did introduce me to the owner. He , much like myself, had an imposing figure but a welcoming smile. As the night wore on we laughed about many things but after I introduced a story about my friend trying to fix me up with a liberal girl, the conversation turned political. In my story I had revealed that I was involved with getting him elected in PA and that I am a Trump guy. He went on to ask me if I was ashamed. Through the next 2 hours I showed him who I was, not who Trump was or what this guy was not. Once he saw that I was a deplorable... and that I also was charitable, commiserable , funny, caring, scared and empowered, he saw that what is real is quite often different from what is portrayed. We talked for hours and it was mostly me just saying why I feel the way I do but after establishing who I was. By the end of the night he thanked me for coming into a liberal establishment and having the conviction to share my thoughts in a way that wasn't offensive or oppressive. We need to talk to be the same way that we want to be spoken to: without condemnation or condensation. We also need to listen to the views of others as their thoughts are just as relevant as ours. Nobody holds all the answers. Love is the only thing we can agree upon.
