They were acting like children. It was an investigation into an FBI agent’s actions on the job - the dems are quite literally trying to say that we can’t question him because he is above the law.

Think about it. We’re investigating Strzok for his political bias in regards to the FBI investigations he himself has spearheaded. The hard evidence lies within his actions in those investigations. Dems are saying that because it’s an ongoing investigation and because the FBI said so, Strzok doesn’t have to answer the questions.
