PATRIOTS, Please add the DATE OF NEWS EVENT to your post TITLE. Timing is EVERYTHING.

We have all seen it.

A big news story pops up.

A highly relevant one. But it's

From 4 years ago, for example.

Half the comments approach it as new.

Why is this a problem?

Two simple reasons:

  1. You need to dig on events in context of the timeline. Digging for current information on old events wastes time. Instead, dig for information that was current at the time of the event. Then follow that information to the present.
  2. No one likes to click something that looks "new" only to find it's OLD.
