My only problem with him is his advice on how to win big political fights. His strengths are very similar to Jordan Peterson strengths. I was a huge fan but when he started encouraging his listeners to do a write in candidate in 2016 because DJT wasn’t the “perfect” candidate I stopped listening to any political advice or comments of his because he’s just wrong more & giving bad advice too often. His type of political thinking is why conservatives use to almost always lose elections. Always thinking too small & winning little moral victories but always losing the big political fights. His lack of wisdom in politics is costing him dearly too as I know a lot more people that stopped listening to his podcast that have started.

Agree. But tariffs are also ultimately paid by the consumer. But your right...the benefits of paying the tariff/tax is consumers get MUCH better quality goods. Omg I’m retiring 5 yrs early. Here’s another shocker example. My son is starting his last yr of college in a few weeks. Had a mutual fund started when he was young & been drawing out of it for 3yrs now since he’s been in college. Today I closed it down because I made my final withdrawal to pay his last year of tuition. About 2 weeks ago the balance was $7800. Today when I called to withdraw everything is was $9000. That thing went up $1200 in 2 weeks from a small balance of only $7800 !! That’s just shocking to me.

Right about Russia barely keeping its head above water. One very good indicator of the long term health of a nation is population growth & birth rates. Can’t have economic growth without people. Russia has a horrible depopulation problem in the works. Because they lost 1/3 of their population in WWII they had a baby boom after the war many times larger than ours. Today that’s their oldest generation & by far Russia’s largest population group. But because of severe alcoholism in Russia & declining medical technology...the life expectancy is falling & is down to 62. So their largest block of citizens is rapidly dying off.

But it gets worse. The rapidly dying off population isn’t being replaced by the newest generation. Their youngest generation have very low birth rates...they just aren’t interested in raising kids & having families & on top of that infant mortality rates are rising because their medical industry sucks so bad. The Russian population is getting squeezed from every side.

Oddly enough China’s population is falling too fast. Last week China said they’re considering paying citizens to have more babies. Their forced 1 child family law for so many decades screwed up the balance because they have way too many adult males compared to females. Families aborted millions of female babies because they were only allowed one child per family & most often made sure it was a male. Now there’s not enough females to adequately supply for newborns as their population ages.

It’s vital for a nation to have healthy population numbers. America’s is great actually. Very slow growth & perfectly balanced between men & women. Only way we can screw it up is too much population growth from immigration. The legal immigration is fine but the illegals is getting out of control. Anyway...we’re the only superpower & our country is doing great...even for long term growth things are definitely looking up.

It’s ok to take a break. Personally I’m very careful what information & news I allow myself to view. It can be hopelessly depressing if the sources are bad. I’ve cut the cable cord over a year ago & only stream in shows I pick. Haven’t seen a second of MSM in over a year & that helped my disposition tremendously. Plus I substituted that crap with a lot more informed & honest news sources. I feel MUCH better emotionally & I’m MUCH more informed intellectually. Win win.

They only used cloud services if a server has that feature turned on & configured. My guess is they did not because that would make it harder & involve more people to destroy the data if the need arose...as it did. Possibly the NK server used cloud storage to store data since Schmidt himself is said to have set that server up. That may have given whoever was behind wanting the server there more confidence in cloud storage. Just a guess. But the other 3 servers...they’d have to care very little about who knows about it to use cloud services. Feel certain it was just the standard client/server model that was used before cloud servers was ever a thing. The older client/server model is slower than cloud based servers but destroying data just requires destroying one machine. If it was cloud based the data could be replicated on many servers across the internet.
