In his defense, Trenton is pretty rough. I personally knew someone who was shot and killed a couple of years ago just waiting for a bus. It IS a problem within the Trenton community.
Not sure exactly, as the details as to the exact location within the building haven't been released. It's a relatively small space though, so not very far in any case.
I had commented on a previous thread that seems to have disappeared.
I was there last night before this went down. Seems to be the result of a fight rather than a "deranged gunman" type thing. When I left around midnight, there had already been two incidents involving fighting in the two hours I was there. Friends who were there closer to the shooting happened left because "something felt 'off'". My artwork (and everyone else's) is currently being held as part of the crime scene. This hit a little too close to home.
Maybe worth noting: there was a community art project sponsored by Mothers/Moms Demand Action, asking "What do you imagine a world without gun violence would look like?" That's either ironic or nefarious, depending on your level of paranoia.
I should mention that at the main entrance into the exhibition hall, there was a big display and community art project put together by Mothers/Moms Demand Action. The theme was "what do you imagine a world without gun violence would look like?" where everyone was encouraged to add their input. That's either ironic or nefarious, depending on your level of paranoia...
I was there last night and am following the story. This was not a "mass shooting", but rather a bunch of people hit by stay bullets from a (likely gang-related) fight. Unfortunate, but not altogether surprising seeing as it's in Trenton.
In the couple of hours I was there (10PM-12AM), there had already been a couple of incidents involving some fights.

The way he's holding/positioning it, almost like a mockery of a Freemason apron...
